Balsa Build 1
Debrief/Reflection
During the first week of school, I made a rocket with a real motor. This wasn't my first experience with rockets. I did a similar project last year on a much smaller and safer scale. But this week I learned and practiced a lot of teamwork and communication. My partner and I worked very well together. We were able to bounce out ideas off of eachother and work physically on the rocket well together. I also learned about woodworking with the pots of hands-on time and practice I got this week. This first run was kind of a guess and check run. Next time, we are planning to make our rocket lighter in weight. I think that the heaviness of the rocket dragged it down a lot being one of the reasons it may have not got off the ground. We are also planning to make the body skinnier allowing it to be more aerodynamic and the wings more durable see that one of them fell off without it even being in flight.
